Kremna village is situated 235 km south from Belgrade and near to the place where the famous Tarabici prophets grew up. The village is located in the region of Zlatibor (meaning "Golden Pine") a very popular mountain resort area in south-western Serbia. The first inhabitants of Zlatibor were the Illyrians, their small tombs can be found all over Zlatibor. The Romans conquered Zlatibor in 4th century BC and the Illyrians were romanized.  They were followed by the Slavs in 7th century from what is today Poland.
From 1463 to 1804, Zlatibor was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire. The beginning of tourism in Zlatibor dates from August 1893, when King Aleksandar I ‘Obrenovic’ of Serbia, came to Kulasevac, as Kraljeve Vode was called back then. However, tourism did not really start to take off until 1905, when King Petar I 'Karadordevic' visited Kraljeve Vode.
Kremna is located between two famous mountain chains, Tara and Zlatibor. It is about 10 km away from the ‘wooden’ town of Mokra Gora, a famous village tourist site with an old railway, the so-called the Sargan Eight.
. A new tourist attraction near Kremna ‘Jokino Vrelo’ an artificial beach and fishing area has started to become very popular with visitors and locals alike. The altitude here is 750 and 850 meters, thus being a perfect retreat. The setting of Kremna resembles a giant garden spotted with evergreen trees, nature thrives here. Its horizon is criss-crossed by Sargan and Cigota and the endless views reach as far as Durmitor and Avala.
